
PGA TOur Regression Analysis
The Professional Golfer Association (PGA) maintains data on performance and earning for members of the PGA Tour. From this data, the scoring average is considered one of the most important statistics in terms of player's success on the PGA Tour. In this research, we are going to review the relationship between independent variables and dependents variables. Having the data from the official PGA website it can help develop a multiple regression equation. This equation with specific variables will help future golfers that want to become professional. The equation will help them determine where the golfers need to improve the most, and if they are doing the right scores to become professional golfers.
Introduction
For this research, our dependent variable is going to be the Scoring Average: Driving distance
• Driving Accuracy (DA)
• Greens in Regulation (GIR)
• Sand Saves (SS)
• Average Putts Per Round (PPR)
From a year-end performance data for the 125 player who had the highest total earning in PGA.
